Positive Disruption with Cheryl White & David Denborough, Calgary, Saturday, 23. September 2017

The Faculty of Social Work is pleased to present international leaders in the practice and study of narrative therapy Cheryl White and David Denborough for a free lecture and presentation the morning of September 23, 2017 (time TBC), at the University of Calgary.

Cheryl White is a director of Australia’s Dulwich Centre and founder of Dulwich Centre Publications. David Denborough has written extensively on narrative therapy and developed the Team of Life narrative approach, which uses sporting metaphors to enable young people to deal with traumatic experience without having to speak directly about it.

These amazing thought leaders are presented as part of the Faculty of Social Work’s Positive Disruption, a series of speakers and events designed to support social workers and the practice of social work in Alberta. The goal is to provide professional and personal development opportunities and to bring a social work lens to many of the issues facing our society.

White and Denborough appear as part of the University of Calgary’s Alumni Weekend Sept. 22 – 23. Sign up for the Alumni Weekend insider email, and check back for more details on what should be a fun and informative day!
